Mindfulness Based
Transformational coaching
with Kelly
In the age of self-optimization, most of us just want to be the best version of ourselves- and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. Wanting to grow, improve, and show up more fully in your life is a beautiful thing. It takes real courage and intention.
But here's something I've seen again and again- in my clients, and honestly, in myself: when self-improvement becomes the constant focus, it can quietly tip into a kind of exhausting performance. You're always working on yourself, but never quite arriving to where you think it will take you. And underneath all that effort, life can start to feel surprisingly empty.
What I've found is that a lot of that emptiness comes from feelings we've learned to stay busy enough not to feel. A low-grade dissatisfaction humming in the background. A sense that something is off, but it's easier to optimize your morning routine than to sit with that. Meanwhile, the things you actually want stay just out of reach, because getting there would mean feeling some things you haven't been ready to feel yet.
That's the work I do. Helping you slow down enough to actually feel what's there and bring it into consciousness so it stops running your life from the background. When you can see it clearly and feel it honestly, you have so much more power.
Together, we'll dig into what's really going on - your dreams, your fears, and the beliefs quietly running the show. I'm here to help you slow down, get off autopilot, and start seeing yourself more clearly. Because the more you understand what's happening on the inside, the more things will come into alignment on the outside.
My approach blends mindfulness, embodiment, energy work, and transformational coaching. Mindful awareness illuminates your inner experience, while coaching gives that process structure, direction, and support.
One of my favorite parts of this work is helping you spot your blind spots — and yes, we all have them. Those places where you're holding yourself back without even realizing it. When we find them, we don't bulldoze through them. We get curious. We get a little lighter about it. We work from the heart, not from force.
As your coach, I'm here to witness you as a whole person — to listen with real presence, ask the questions that matter, and hold space for you to uncover your own answers. Believe me, they are in there.
And while we often explore the hard stuff, sessions aren't heavy. They're dynamic, participatory, and honestly — kind of fun. The more relaxed you feel, the more openly you can explore, and the more momentum you build. As one of my favorite teachers once told me: "At first the work feels really hard — but then it's actually fun." She was right.

“Kelly is the perfect person to learn about mindfulness with. She has a broad knowledge about human inner functioning and her sweet, kind and mellow way helped me to understand what mindfulness is all about. I could actually grasp it for the first time. I’m very thankful for this wonderful life tool she gave me to deepen the knowledge of myself from three different aspects (thoughts, feelings, sensations). It is a new door that opened to keep exercising a peaceful, fulfilled way of living.”

“I have been in coaching with Kelly for almost a year now (off and on as I feel I need support) and am profoundly enjoying and appreciating the work with her. I personally consider that, compared to conventional psychotherapy, Kelly offers a very practical, focused and functional approach in her sessions; aiming for an actual transformation of the way presented challenges and difficulties are dealt with. It is especially refreshing that she focuses on current reality, rather than digging into the past. She works closely with her clients’ unique personality and wishes, without ever adopting a patronizing position or losing focus on guiding her clients through an evolutionary process."

“I have had the extreme pleasure and honor of working with Kelly off and on for almost three years. During that time we worked very closely together in 1:1 sessions; a true deep dive into exploring the Physical, Emotional and Spiritual levels which, it is no exaggeration, has been and even afterwards, continues to be, a true “life changing” experience. Our work began at the very most basic levels of learning mindfulness and ran up to more advanced levels ( for me anyway) of meditation, yoga, physical fitness, and an overall healthier lifestyle. Above all, it included having someone I could trust and with whom I could be utterly open and fearlessly honest with. Thanks Kelly, really!” Eric Veenstra, International Business Owner

5 sessions to build awareness and take action

AWARENESS AND ACTION
Anytime you want to make a positive change, start with an intention and a commitment. It is said that “ Intentions live in our head, but commitments live on our calendar.” Similarly, once you start to build more self-awareness, pairing it with action and integration is critical to actually make a change.
This package includes five 75-minute sessions. We will meet once/week for a month, and then have a follow up session 1 month later. Each week you will be given an independent self-practice that is crucial to the process. Together, we will choose which “actions” will be the most impactful for your growth. This program is great for:
-
Anyone looking to build more awareness of their behavior, emotional, and thought patterns and methods to interrupt the pattern.
-
Life is full of changes and transitions. It is often in these moments where we feel the most unstable and could use a a friendly hand to hold. Coaching through transitions helps with processing thoughts and feelings, stress-reduction, clarity, and perspective.
-
It’s hard starting something new! Coaching is incredibly helpful when you are feeling in a slump, needing a boost for momentum, or wanting someone to help keep you accountable to your goals.
Find your solid ground and grow from there.

ROOT TO RISE
“Root to Rise” is one of my favorite yoga cues, but it is also something I remind myself of in my day to day life. To root means to establish oneself deeply and firmly, to be grounded in the present moment. To rise means to emerge, to move from a lower position to a higher one, moving upwards; coming back to life. Before we can fully extend or expand, we have to be firmly rooted. We have to be grounded before we can grow, or we will find ourselves wobbling and falling back into old patterns.
This package includes nine 75-minute sessions to be used in a 3 month period. Each week you will be given an independent self-practice as well.
Over the course of 3 months, you will learn the tools to ground yourself in your body and in the present moment; and also begin to build a stronger foundation within yourself. This program is great for:
-
Training your muscles of focus and attention develops the capacity for mindful awareness of your own internal experience (thoughts, feelings and sensations); AND the ability to step back from them. By observing and understanding your inner experience, you are empowered to take more control of your life and reduce your level of stress.
-
Its challenging to create healthier coping styles and lifestyle shifts, but as your awareness grows and you start to make more connections of how certain things impact you; this is often a natural change more than a forced one. Coaching can help highlight what makes you feel best, and encourages you to do that more!
-
Usually we come to coaching because we want something to change; a feeling, a relationship, a situation. During these months together, we will identifying specific areas of your life which you would like to see change and work together to set goals and action steps to move towards them.

“Yes."

FAQ

A mindfulness coach specializes in teaching mindfulness techniques and practices to facilitate personal development and positive change. The primary goal is to guide clients in developing a present-moment awareness, cultivating self-compassion, and managing stress and emotions more effectively. The emphasis is on enhancing awareness and promoting a sense of balance and calm in daily life. Using these skills of mindful awareness, coach and client work together to set and achieve specific goals (such as career transitions, improving relationships, increasing confidence, realizing one's full potential), create positive shifts (change of habits, beliefs, or behaviors), and explore limiting beliefs.
-
In psychotherapy, the function is to fix what isn’t right. In coaching, the function is to develop strengths. In psychotherapy, the focus is often on feelings and past events. In coaching, the focus is on understanding how you are feeling in the present moment (building mindful awareness) and how that impacts our actions and the future. In psychotherapy, the process explores the root of problems. In coaching, the process focuses on solving problems and changing perspectives. In psychotherapy, the assumption is the client needs healing. In coaching, the assumption is the client is whole. Psychotherapists deal with answering the question “Why do I….?” A coach asks the question, “Who are you? Where do you want to go? and What do you want your future to look like?”

Mindfulness is awareness that arises through paying attention, on purpose, in the present moment, non-judgmentally. Mindfulness brings quality of being, a way of being. It’s a way to relate to ourselves and our life. The practice of mindfulness enhances the basic human quality of awareness by learning to pay wise attention to whatever is happening in our lives- without being overly reactive or overwhelmed by what’s going on around us. It is not something you practice only in seated meditation; but instead it consists of practical skills interwoven into everything you do.
-
Having an individualized approach. Everyone’s background, current situation, and needs are different so working 1:1 allows a tailored approach for the most effective outcomes. For example, the recommendations and practices I would offer for a mom of 2 young children would differ quite a bit from a person looking for support in their transition to retirement.
Accountability and Motivation- when you are working on personal development independently, it’s easy to lose motivation and keep falling back into old habits and patterns. Having support and guidance provides the very necessary accountability to help you stay on track.
Feedback and Perspective- Working with someone as opposed to a self guided program gives you a unique opportunity to be helped to skillfully see things with different perspectives than you normally do. We can get stuck in a rut of thinking the same way about things which gets in the way of our personal growth and positive change. Being able to identify your blind spots, and limiting beliefs, really boost your growth. It can help you see new insights which will help you get to where you want to go faster.
Emotional Support- When we work on ourselves we will inevitably experience emotional challenges and self-doubt. In these moments it’s not only helpful but nurturing and comforting to have someone help you manage setbacks, overcome obstacles, and maintain a positive mindset. We all need encouragement, empathy, and validation during times of difficulty.
