Nurtured by Nature

A 7 day immersion for women to root back into their natural rhythms, experience the healing power of nature, and find some much needed relief.

Bocas del Toro, Panama

October 3-10, 2026

Nurtured by Nature is a women’s retreat designed to help you slow down, settle your nervous system, and reconnect with your true nature. Held between the ocean and the jungle in Bocas del Toro, this experience invites you to step out of constant stimulation and into a more natural rhythm of living- which ultimately feels very relieving.

(Insert deep sigh moment here!)

Through daily movement, meditation, mindfulness, and immersive nature-based experiences, you’ll explore how being in relationship with the natural world supports clarity, healing, and meaningful change. Rather than “working on yourself,” you’ll be guided to feel, sense, and listen to what your body and inner world are already communicating.

You’ll be guided through embodied practices, gentle inquiry, creative expression, and A LOT of time outdoors to reconnect with your own cycles, intuition, and sense of aliveness. Being held by nature and by a small, supportive group allows your barriers to soften and self-trust to grow.

7 nights and 6 days of being nurtured by nature (and by your guides).

MEET YOUR GUIDES

Hi! We are Kelly and Keara! Two women inviting you to this special place that we live for a week full of connection, fun, and beauty.

We want your experience to feel effortless, eye-opening, and special. Whether you are craving adventure, connection, or just a little time to breathe and recharge- we feel this retreat has something for you.

Kelly Yonston thrives off of bringing people together though movement, mindfulness, and play. Here in Bocas she works as a school psychologist, mindfulness and yoga teacher. Her first priority is creating a safe space where everyone feels a sense of belonging and togetherness. From there, everything unfolds beautifully. She weaves her training in psychology and mindfulness into everything she guides in a relatable and lighthearted way. Kelly loves to teach, play, and lead by example.

Kelly’s Inspiration for Nurtured by Nature

I’ve lived in Bocas del Toro for 8 years and one of my main reasons for moving here is the incredible nature.  Being surrounded by the ocean, the jungle, and the elements changed me in a way I wasn’t expecting.  It changed how I felt, how I consumed, how I saw life, and how I experienced myself.

Over the years, my reverence for the natural world has only deepened, as well as my desire to care for it.  One of my goals for Nurtured by Nature is for others to experience these same healing and transformative powers of the earth.

This retreat is a simple invitation to reconnect with what’s essential - in the environment and within yourself.

A woman leaning on a wooden railing outdoors, smiling at the camera with greenery in the background.

Keara Mahoney loves making things feel seamless, special, and a little bit magical- whether it’s finding the perfect hidden beach or adding thoughtful touches that make your stay unforgettable. With a background in hospitality and a deep love for Bocas del Toro, she creates spaces where where people can truly relax, feel seen, and soak up the moment.

Keara’s Inspiration for Nurtured by Nature

When I came to Bocas, and more when I arrived in Bluff, I felt something inside me deeply relax.  In Bluff, there is no option to “get out” into nature here–it’s the opposite, nature gets into you. You simply cannot avoid its presence, its persistence, and above all, its humbling energy.

In our world of modification, customization, and convenience, we rarely extend the invitation for nature to lead, let alone to dictate.

During Nurtured by Nature, we surrender, integrate, and align ourselves with the vibrancy of the jungle, the rhythm of the ocean, and we slip sweetly back into a natural flow. I want to see people enjoy themself and slowly open back up and soften to the beauty of nature.

The Transformation You’ll Experience

Nurtured by Nature is designed to create change you can feel in your body. Over seven days, the environment, practices, and community work together to support deep shifts. By the end of the retreat, women often experience:

  • A More Regulated Nervous System

Daily movement, breathwork, mindfulness, and extended time in nature allow your body to move out of constant planning and stress mode. We can’t stress enough how just being in this space calms the nervous system.

  • Clarity around what truly matters to you

With fewer distractions and a slower pace, you gain insight into what you genuinely want - separate from expectations, conditioning, or external pressure. Many women leave with renewed confidence in their decisions and a stronger connection to their inner truth.

  • A deeper connection to your inner nature

Through embodied practices, meditation, and our elements-based workshop, you’ll explore how the forces of nature live within you. These experiences help release stored stress and emotion, allowing you to feel more whole, grounded, and aligned with how you function best.

  • A sense of belonging and connection

Sharing this journey with others dissolves isolation and fosters meaningful connection. Like ecosystems in nature, you’ll experience what it means to be part of something larger while honoring your unique role within it.

  • Renewed creativity and curiosity

Nature thrives on variety, expression, and movement. Through creative, fun, and playful experiences, you’ll rediscover imagination, creative confidence, and the joy of creating without an agenda. This is an invitation to let your natural creativity come alive again.

  • A healthier relationship with Mother Nature

By reconnecting with where your food comes from, learning about herbal wisdom, and experiencing nature as a living system, many women leave with a deeper respect for the planet and a desire to make more mindful, sustainable choices in daily life.

  • Feeling your your feminine nature

Through time in nature, movement, rest, and creative exploration, you’ll reconnect with the feminine qualities of intuition, receptivity, and cyclical wisdom. This retreat invites you out of constant effort and into a place of receiving — learning to listen, soften, and respond to life in a way that feels natural, nourishing, and deeply aligned.

  • Tools and reflections that shift you

You’ll leave with embodied lessons, sensory anchors, and nature-based rituals you can return to anytime. These practices help you reconnect with the state of clarity, calm, and presence you cultivate during the retreat.

THIS IS

Bocas del Toro, Panama

We are thrilled to invite you to join us on this annual seven day, six night adventure to the place we call home- Bocas del Toro, Panama.  This tropical island archipelago of Panama is known for its rich biodiversity (they call it the Galapagos of the Caribbean!), beautiful beaches, and clear waters. There are a few main islands and hundreds of small ones scattered throughout, but we will be staying on the largest one, pictured above, called Isla Colon.

The giant stretch of golden sand seen above is Bluff Beach. There are a handful of hotels, some residents but mostly lots of undeveloped area just waiting to be explored and enjoyed. One of our favorite activities is taking the bikes (provided by Bluff Beach Retreat) and biking down the jungle trail to La Piscina or Blue Lagoon for a dip in the protected pools.

You will love all the wildlife in the area: monkeys, sloths, toucans, parrots and other tropical birds are always around. At certain points of the year the waves in Bluff Beach attract international surfers, but during October the waves are very small so you can swim and float in the turquoise waters!

There are always periods of life when you feel you are going through the motions or when you feel far from your heart.  Times where you feel disconnected, uninspired, stuck, flat, or just exhausted from the day to day.  It’s hard to think our way out of this place.  So often it is an experience that helps to jumpstart feelings of joy, connection, clarity and a renewed outlook on life.  Retreats, more than typical vacations, are a beautiful opportunity to give yourself an experience that can transform your whole energy, your inner world, and the way you see things.  You take that energy back home with you and it has been amazing to witness the positive changes people experience afterwards.

Our goal is that you’ll leave feeling more grounded, more present, and in awe of yourself and the natural world.

It’s time to remember what it feels like to truly relax, have fun, let go, feel alive in your body, and to give yourself what you need.
